Jesus promised
that if we would repent of our sins, confess Him
as our Lord and receive Him as our Savior we
would have eternal life with Him. But because
most people don't want to acknowledge that
they're sinful and need to be saved God will
leave everyone who's not saved on the earth when
the Rapture occurs and they will have to go
through a time period of His wrath, called
'Tribulation': "Pour
out thy wrath upon the heathen that have not
known thee, and upon the kingdoms that have not
called upon thy name." (Psalms 79:6)
"For
then shall be great tribulation, such as was not
since the beginning of the world to this time,
no, nor ever shall be." (Mathew 24:21)
But everyone who
is raptured is kept from the Tribulation. The
Bible promises us that in these verses:
"Much
more then, being now justified by his blood, we
shall be saved from wrath through him."
(Romans 5:9)
"For
God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain
salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ," (1
Thessalonians 5:9)
"Because
thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also
will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which
shall come upon all the world, to try them that
dwell upon the earth." (Revelation 3:10)
The Rapture is a
means of escape from the Tribulation which the
Lord has provided to those who are trusting in
Him for their salvation:
"Watch
ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be
accounted worthy to escape all these things that
shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son
of man." (Luke 21:36)
However, anyone
who hears the Gospel message before the Rapture
and refuses to trust in Jesus for their salvation
will not have the opportunity to be saved after
the Rapture. God will "send
them strong delusion" and they will believe a
lie which will be told by the Antichrist, who we
will discuss shortly:
"And
with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in
them that perish; because they received not the
love of the truth, that they might be saved. And
for this cause God shall send them strong
delusion, that they should believe a lie: That
they all might be damned who believed not the
truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness."
(2 Thessalonians 2:10-12)
But everyone else
that's left on earth after the Rapture who has
never heard the Gospel message still has the
opportunity to receive Jesus as their Savior. If
they do they will become a Christian just like
those who were raptured, but they will still have
to go through the Tribulation because they
weren't saved when the Rapture occurred.
There are many
countries in the world today where Bibles are
banned. Only about 60% of the world's population
has Internet access and in many nations Christian
websites are blocked and the preaching of the
Gospel is prohibited. But during the Tribulation
the Holy Spirit will pour Himself out upon the
world and many will be saved:
"And
it shall come to pass in the last days, saith
God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all
flesh..." (Acts 2:17)
"After
this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which
no man could number, of all nations, and
kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before
the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with
white robes, and palms in their hands;"
(Revelation 7:9)
"...And
he said to me, These are they which came out of
great tribulation, and have washed their robes,
and made them white in the blood of the
Lamb." (Revelation 7:14)
This will be a
terrible time in which to live. Many of those who
become Christians during this time will be
killed. Find out what will happen during The Tribulation...
