EU Super President

A select group of European Union Foreign Ministers are pondering the idea of creating the office of EU 'Super President'. The office would merge the roles of the EU Council and European Commission Presidents, and the new office holder would have more power than either of those Presidents do today. Also, more "democratic legitimacy" would be gained because the new office holder would be elected by members of the European Parliament. With that in mind, the Bible speaks of the Antichrist:

“And in his estate shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the kingdom: but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries." (Daniel 11:21)

The European Union is the 'revived Roman empire' and the organization from which the Antichrist will rise to power and eventually dominate the world. The prophet Daniel, under Holy Spirit inspiration stated:

"And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined." (Daniel 9:26)

1. The "prince that shall come" is the Antichrist. The original Hebrew text uses the word "nawgheed" which means "commander, leader or ruler". Therefore the term Antichrist is not symbolically or allegorically referring to a 'mind set of evil' or a 'coalition of forces' but an actual human being.

2. The "people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary" is referring to the nationality of the people who destroyed Jerusalem and the Jewish Temple in 70 A.D. This was the Romans under the leadership of Titus (this event was also documented by secular Jewish historian and eyewitness Josephus).

Not since the old Roman Empire of two thousand years ago has Europe been united. But the 'revived Roman Empire' is rising in the guise of the European Union.
