Can You Hear Me Now?
No, I'm not checking the service of my cell phone, I'm checking your service to the Lord. Are you discerning the 'signs of the times' and providing your family, friends and loved ones nourishment from the Lord in the form of His Word:

"Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods." ( Matthew 24:45-47 KJV )

We must not be oblivious to the signs of His coming, nor complacent in sharing the Truth of the Gospel with those in our lives. It is the Christian's duty to be aware...and to share. We must be "wise as serpents, and harmless as doves." ( Matthew 10:15 KJV )

At this writing, a 6.0 magnitude earthquake has just struck central California and 77 aftershocks have already been recorded. Centered in the town of Parkfield, the quake was felt from Santa Ana to Sacremento and damage assessments are yet to come in. With this event in mind, let's consider other headlines that have aired in only the past few months:

The Lord is not pacing back and forth in front of His throne saying, 'Now what am I going to do?' On the contrary, He has known all these things would occur since before time began:

"Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:" ( Isaiah 46:9-10 KJV )

Lord Jesus reprimanded the people of His day for not discerning the signs that He was their awaited Messiah:

"And he said also to the people, When ye see a cloud rise out of the west, straightway ye say, There cometh a shower; and so it is. And when ye see the south wind blow, ye say, There will be heat; and it cometh to pass. Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern this time?" ( Luke 12:54-56 KJV )

He warns us to be aware of the signs that will herald the Tribulation, because prior to the onset of it, He will come for His own, and we must not be caught unaware:

"The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of," ( Matthew 24:50 KJV )

We must be attentive, for today's headlines echo exactly what Jesus warned:

"For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows." ( Matthew 24:5-8 KJV )

The signs of the coming Tribulation are all around us, and with that, He tells us what to do:

"And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh." ( Luke 21:28 KJV )

Lord Jesus is coming! Can you hear me now?
