No, it's spelled
correctly...for what it is. You see, the
'Roadmap
To Peace', in essence, is
asking the state of Israel to piece itself apart
in order to form a country for the Palestinians.
Here's an example of how the Palestinians have
brought this about: Let's say that your state decides
they want to declare themselves as a new and
separate country from the United States. And,
they want their new country to be officially
recognized by the U.S. Government. To force their
point, they begin blowing themselves up, one or
two at a time, around Washington D.C.'s busiest
attractions and government buildings. They
exclaim as they go that they will not stop until
their new country is officially recognized...but
really in their hearts they want all of the land
of the United States and for all U.S. citizens to
be dead.
Would the U.S.
Government give in to such demands and tactics?
Of course not, but that's what Israel is being
asked to do. President Bush claims to be a
Christian...I think he is...I pray he is. But
with this prayer also comes a prayer of
discernment for our President. Until he realizes
from God's Word that 'peace' will not come from
'piece', the United States is apt to incur God's
wrath for even suggesting this 'Roadmap'. Because
let's not forget what God told Abraham in regards
to the nation of Israel:
"And
I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him
that curseth thee..." (Genesis 12:3)
So, the United
States is asking Israel to divide herself so the
Palestinians can form their own country. But
let's not get ahead of ourselves...Israel has
already been divided:
"In
the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram,
saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land,
from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the
river Euphrates:" (Genesis 15:18)
Whether the
Palestinians like it or not, or anyone else for
that matter, Israel has a Divine deed to not only
where it now appears on a global map, but also
land currently occupied by Egypt, Jordan, Syria,
Iraq and Saudi Arabia. To divide Israel is to
make a declaration after the fact. The current
'Roadmap To Peace' is nothing more than another
straw added to the camels back.
So, whether this
'Roadmap' comes to fruition or not, the land God
gave Abraham, Isaac and Jacob has already been
parted. But, God is not finished with His people
Israel:
"I
say then, Hath God cast away his people? God
forbid..." (Romans 11:1)
To say God is not
pleased with His already divided land, or efforts
via the 'Roadmap' to part it further, is an
understatement:
"I
will also gather all nations, and will bring them
down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will
plead with them there for my people and for my
heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among
the nations, and parted my land." (Joel 3:2)
We live in an
unbelieving world. A world that doesn't respect
His Word...a world that doesn't accept His
Son...a world that doesn't bless His people
Israel. Jesus is about to return for His Church
before His Father unleashes His fury on this
unbelieving world.
Roadmap To
Peace'? I don't think so.
